The Levitating Death Star is one of the incredible items from our collection of Levitating props. We create them using 3D printing and hand-painting techniques.  It rests on a wooden base that has an electromagnetic levitation system. The Death Star effortlessly hovers mid-air, levitating 24/7 without any limitations.

You have the option to choose your base finish style, with options including white, black, or wooden. And, for an extra special touch, you can also choose the RGB base option to add some extra sparkle to your display.

It can levitate because of magnets. The platform and the object are both north poles, creating a strong magnetic repulsion that keeps the Death Star afloat. It’s a simple yet elegant solution that will have you mesmerized.

When setting up the Levitating Death Star, it’s important to use both hands to center it properly. The south pole end can attract to the platform if it is not properly in the center. To ensure safety, remember to remove the Death Star before turning off the platform.

What is a Death Star?

The Geonosians designed the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station before the Galactic Republic and then the Galactic Empire took over the project. However, the Rebel Alliance stole the battle station’s plans from Scarif. Culminating to its destruction at the Battle of Yavin, but not before unleashing its planet-destroying gun on Alderaan, Jedha City, and Scarif.

Following the destruction of the first Death Star, the Galactic Empire built the DS-2 Death Star. It supposed to be more powerful than the original. The Death Star II’s energy shield was shattered during the Battle of Endor, and the Rebels used the unfinished superstructure of the battle station against it, destroying the weapon as they had its predecessor.

How it’s Made?

In order to create a replica of from a video game we have a though and long process to go through. We use 3D modeling and animation software. This allows our designers to create highly detailed, as well as accurate representations of characters, environments, and objects from the game.

When our technical team is done with 3d modeling and animating, it is time for our artists to take charge. Every single replica & prop is hand painted by our talented artists in a timely manner. They have the hard part of not just only painting, but researching every aspect of the prop, and that takes time. If we do not go to the extreme to create the most accurate replica, then what’s the point to even creating them?
